Les freephones, unik, twin et autres téléphones VoIP seraient-ils dangereux pour notre santé ? Les études faites jusqu’à présent ne permettent pas de connaître les effets à long terme. Mais est-il sérieux de comparer le GSM à plusieurs watts et le Wi-Fi à quelques milliwatts ? De plus, les stations de diffusion de radio et de télévision fonctionnent depuis au moins 50 ans sans qu’on ait constaté d’effets indésirables sur la santé. Rafraîchissons-nous la mémoire. Voici quelques données sur les puissances d’émission de certains appareils : * un relais de télévision: 1000 Watts * un émetteur de radio FM: 1000 Watts * un satellite: 1000 Watts * un four à micro-ondes: 1000 Watts * un émetteur WiMAX : 200 à 1000 Watts * un relais de téléphone portable GSM: 100 Watts * un récepteur WiMax: 20 Watts * un téléphone portable GSM: 2 Watts * un appareil Wi-Fi: 0,1 Watt L’argument que les ondes du Wi-Fi utilisent la même fréquence que les micro-ondes n’indique rien d’effrayant. Le micro-onde a une puissance 10 000 fois supérieure à un réseau Wi-Fi ! De plus, le micro-onde est une véritable cage de faraday, empêchant les ondes de s’échapper de l’intérieur.
